She started her professional life teaching at the University of Wisconsin, and then went on to Wayne State University and finally the University of Michigan. In 1984 she transitioned into founding and leading Shekinah, a charismatic church in Ann Arbor. Currently she oversees the church as well as a network of pastors, ministry leaders and business leaders. Her heart is to see the glory of God released in the nations resulting in revival and ultimately transformation. She was featured on the cover of Charisma Magazine as one of the most influential women in America transforming the face of the Christian church in America. Currently she travels most of the time nationally and internationally speaking in conference and leadership venues. She also is pursuing advocacy of disenfranchised people including refugees and orphaned children. She values her relationship with God, family, people, nature, reading and global awareness. Her core passion is breaking through every impossible situation, eliminating limitations. Where would she most like you to find her? Either deep in conversation with a good friend, touching a vulnerable child or in the middle of nature absorbing its solitude.
